BORBET AND THURINGIA: A STRONG CONNECTION FOR 20 YEARS.

After completion in 2003, the expansion followed in 2012, a targeted expansion that has made the plant the largest light alloy wheel production facility in Europe to date. The in-house pad printing centre, which went into operation in 2019, stands for the company's innovative spirit and technological aspirations and demonstrates a new level of customisation.

IHK ERFURT CONGRATULATES ON THE ANNIVERSARY. 
Last week, Managing Director Dr Honsel welcomed some special guests: Dr Haase-Lerch (Managing Director) and Mr Dieter Bauhaus (President) from the Erfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Erfurt) took the opportunity to congratulate BORBET Thüringen on its anniversary and present it with a certificate for its 20th anniversary. The visit was rounded off with a tour of the company and an insight into the product portfolio of BORBET Thüringen GmbH.

BORBET IMPLEMENTS SUSTAINABILITY PROJECTS

In Medebach (North Rhine-Westphalia), we replaced the conventional HQI lighting in other areas with LED lamps last year. The replacement represents a small building block in BORBET's sustainability strategy.

BORBET USES WASTE HEAT

All BORBET sites have launched initiatives to reduce energy consumption. The use of waste heat at our melting furnaces was particularly successful. Burner air preheating was successfully introduced at the sites, where hot exhaust gas is passed through a heat exchanger to return energy to the burners.
