The ECE is an international approval that is recognised worldwide and has the number R124 for wheels. ECE wheels must match the manufacturer's original wheels in terms of size, width, bolt circle, offset (ET) and hub bore. Wheel mounting, hub cap, load capacity and brake compatibility are not prerequisites. ECE requirements must be checked in advance.
The ABE is the official authorisation to operate a series-produced motor vehicle. With a vehicle parts ABE, wheels can be used without additional assessment by testing services.
